As part of the ROK-U.S. joint maritime exercise, the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73) and Carrier Strike Group 5 (CSG 5) have visited the Busan Naval Base on November 5, 2025.

CSG 5 Strike group consists of the following ships:

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS GEORGE WASHINGTON, the sixth carrier in the Nimitz-class.

The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS ROBERT SMALLS (CG-62).

The Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided-missile destroyer USS SHOUP (DDG-86).

The Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided-missile destroyer USS MILIUS (DDG-69).
